Aims:
The course provides specialists in the area of Automation and Control Engineering the knowledge about modern Control and Protection of motors and other electrical loads, the choice of adequate components for Control and Protection of power loads, the comprehension of the architecture of Variable Speed Drives, the mastery of ALTIVAR's functionalities and their uses in practical applications.

Course outline:
Methods of starting of AC motors, IEC standards and coordination in protection, choice solution for control and protection, PCP offer of Schneider Electric, architecture of VSD, methods for speed control of AC motors, functionalities and applications, motor control laws, the VSD in the electrical environment.
