Automatic Control is a department at faculty of Electrical -
Electronics Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
The Department was founded in the year of 1978 under the name Automation
and was renamed in 1990 it's current name. Since
the department was founded, we have offer a comprehensive program covering
a vast range of automatic control, robotics and industry automation
engineering topics. Now, we have approximately 660 students. The
educational goal in this department is to equip students to be qualified Automatic Control
engineers. They will not only learn theoretical knowledge, but
also gain professional skills. In particular, in order to fulfill the
National Policy in promoting technical level of industry, students will be
trained to be able to system analyze, design, develop, program,
manufacture, and maintain various types of automatic and automation
systems, electronics equipment. The Department is responsible also
for the Master of Engineering and Ph.D programs
in "Automation"
in the Faculty.
Departmental research
has spanned a variety of topics in automatic control theories, industry
automation and robotics.
The total of department
staff is 20. Among them, there are 1 associate Professor, 7
Ph.D., 6 Masters in Engineering. They are graduates from many universities
in Vietnam, Russia, UK,
USA, France.
Senior Lecturer, Ph.D Nguyen Duc Thanh is the
current head of the Department. You can address any questions and remarks
